The NFPA 96 cleaning schedule depends on your kitchen type: solid-fuel operations, 24-hour or high-volume operations, standard full-service restaurants, or low-volume/seasonal kitchens. Knowing which category you fall into helps us give you an accurate frequency recommendation and quote.
Approximate duct length
Duct runs can range from 10 feet on a simple strip mall setup to 40+ feet on a multi-story or basement kitchen. Longer runs affect cleaning time and price. Approximate is fine. We measure on-site.
Last service date and documentation
If you have a cleaning certificate or prior service report, that tells us the last service date and the scope of work performed. It also shows us whether your system has been maintained consistently. If you don't have documentation, that's not a problem. We start fresh.
Number of hoods and fans
Most kitchens have one exhaust system, but larger operations may have two or more hoods each with their own duct and fan. Multiple systems are quoted separately.
